Welcoming Lethokuhle and Xoliswa to Grade 8

The entire KLM family - from South Africa to the United States - wishes a very warm welcome to our new 2025 Scholars, who began 8th Grade at Uplands College this week! Lethokuhle joins KLM from the Legogote Primary School. He is excited to pursue his dream of becoming a scientist. Xoliswa hails from the rural Inkhanyeti Primary School and wants to become a marine biologist one day. Before arriving on the Uplands campus this week, the kids received a comprehensive “bridging” program from September to December of last year, during which they visited campus many times, learned about the academic curriculum, spent time in the boarding houses, and had access to tutoring and counseling, as well as sports instruction. As always, KLM students are cared for by our exceptional staff (Bridget Gibson, Ivy Mpangane, and Jesse Steyn) as well as the caring and supportive faculty at Uplands. Everyone works together to ensure a smooth transition and a strong start. Welcome Letho and Xoliwsa!
